Re: Healthcare Contributions and NCPB Policy Guide
Date: September 15, 2008
NABET and NCPB have reached an agreement with respect to employee’s monthly healthcare contributions. Effective with the May 1, 2009 and May 1, 2010 annual enrollment periods, NABET represented employees will contribute to the healthcare plans at the same rate as all other non-union employees at NCPB.
In addition, NCPB has agreed to grant certain protections and exceptions to NABET represented employees with regards to the new NCPB Policy Guide that will be distributed in the near future. NABET has bargained that nothing in the Policy Guide will cause a reduction or diminish working conditions resulting from a past practice.
Further, to the extent that any subject matter in the Policy Guide is covered by the NABET Master Agreement, the Master Agreement will supersede the Policy Guide.
Holidays will no longer be under Company policy for the B, H, I, and K units of the contract, but will instead by under the terms of the NABET Master Agreement. Vacations will no longer be under Company policy for the B, H and K units of the contract, but will now be covered by the terms of the NABET Master Agreement.
The NABET 51 Officers, Executive Board and Shop Stewards would like to thank everyone for their support and participation in mobilization, resulting in a successful resolution to these very important issues. Please see your Shop Stewards should you have any questions. A copy of the Agreement can be found on the NABET Bulletin Boards.
